We believe every athlete is unique.

WHAT SETS US APART

We've spent years coaching everyone from beginners to World Cup competitors—in the gym, on the rock, at competitions. What we've learned is this: training concepts don't work when they're built for everyone. They work when they're built for you.

We don't coach to a system. We coach the person in front of us, understanding what drives you, what's holding you back, and what actually needs to change. That means combining proven training methods with real experience, honest conversations, and close cooperation. No shortcuts, no generic plans. Just individual support that respects where you're at and pushes you where you need to go.

Tobias Preisler

Climbing has been part of Tobias's life for 17 years, from early bouldering sessions to weeks-long trips across South Africa, Peru, and beyond. Those years taught him what matters: staying curious, consistent and having fun - a healthy mindset is essential for long term success.

Tobias works as a coach with the Swiss climbing team and previously was head coach of Ireland's national team. He's coached athletes at every level—grassroots climbers figuring out their first moves, World Cup competitors refining theirs. What all those years have shown him is simple: individual support based on a reliable, trustworthy and honest relationship between coach and athlete is key.

He also teaches sports, biology, and natural sciences, which keeps him thinking about how people actually learn. His coaching covers technique, strength, movement, mental preparation and recovery. The goal is always the same: help you grow in a way that's healthy, sustainable, and actually right for you.

He's currently training in performance coaching at the Center for Mental Excellence.

Marvin Derst

Climbing was the first sport that felt whole to Marvin. It wasn't just a sport, it became a way of life. That has taught him something crucial: when climbing is that important to someone, a bad session or failed competition isn't just frustrating. It shakes everything. He understands that pressure because he's lived it.

He's been coaching since 2013, became a DAV instructor in 2016, and in November 2024 became Head Coach at DAV Stützpunkt Südwest. He's a state-certified sport climbing instructor with a Trainer B License, working toward his Trainer A. But what shapes how he coaches isn't just the qualifications, it's his background in social work. He cares about how climbing fits into people's lives, not just how they perform.

His approach: make training realistic so athletes stay motivated after six months, not just three weeks. Build solid foundations, progress properly, no shortcuts.

The moments that matter most? Seeing older athletes teach younger ones what he taught them years ago.
